Club Rules

1. Each team must fish from the same boat.

2. When signing in before the tournament it is the reponsibility of each team to draw a numbered chip and record that number

next to their name in the official weigh in book. Before a team can weigh in fish, their chip must be turned back in to the

designated team accepting chips. After the ending tournament time, any chip turned in late by a team will be penalized

a 1 pound penalty for each minute late after tournament time is up, after 15 minutes, the team is disqualified. All chips must

be returned to the weigh in after each tourney. There will be a designated place for teams leaving early to leave their chip.

It will be the responsibility of each team to have their chip in the bucket, before tournament time has ended. In the event a

team loses their chip, they must sign in that they are in on time and see to it that the lost chip is replaced.

3. A 5 fish limit at weigh in per team. Minimum length is 12 inches. Club will abide by the lake slot requirements that is being fished.

Each team will be allowed to weigh no more than 2 dead fish.

4. The official club measuring board is the Golden Rule. All final measurements will be made on the club board by tournament

committee. It is the responsibility of each team to insure that their fish meet the lake requirements and club requirements before

presenting their fish to be measured and weighed. Any fish found to be short or in the slot once they are handed over to be

weighed, will be culled from that teams creel and no substitutions will be allowed.

Any team with a questionable fish can ask for a courtesy measurement on the club

board before they weigh in and said fish will be checked and a substitution will be allowed at that time only.

5. At no time shall the team doing the measuring and weighing check their own fish.

6. Guest fees are $5.00 extra and a member may fish with a guest as many times as needed, guest fees go to Fish Off.

A member may fish with any immediate member of his or her family and not be required to pay a guest fee.

Any guest that joins the club and has fished in any of the previous tournaments, will be allowed to count those

tournaments towards their 5 tournaments required to make the fish off for that year.

One person in each boat must be a member of the club for any boat to be eligible to fish a tournament.

7. The first tournament fished by a new member must be with another member, new members can't fish with a guest their 1st time.

A new member is anyone who has never fished the minimum tournaments reqd to qualify for the fishoff in the past 3 years.

8. Only members who have fished or paid for - "4" in 2008 - 5 tournaments will be eligible to fish in the Fish Off. Money cannot be paid

at the end of the year to gain eligiblity, it must be paid to each tournament. Guests are not eligible to fish the Fish Off.

9. Membership dues are $30.00 and go towards the Fish Off. From that money 3 jackets will be purchased, 1 jacket will

go to the member who catches the biggest bass during one of the 8 tournaments and 2 jackets will be awarded to the

team that is declared, Anglers of the Year. Only members are eligible for the big bass & Anglers of the year jackets.

Only members who have qualified for the fishoff are eligible for Anglers of the year & Big Bass jackets.

10. Each tournament will be worth 50 pts for 1st place, 49 pts for 2nd and so on until the last place weight. A team must weigh in

fish in order to get points. If there is a tie, the points for the two places will be divided among the two teams.

If two members from different teams fish together, then the points will be evenly split between the two teams. If a team

splits during the year and both members stay in, their points will be divided equally between the two members.

Anglers of the Year will be determined by the teams best 5 finishes out of the 8 tournamanets. In the event of a tie, the total

amount of weight from those same 5 finishes will be the tie breaker..

11. Payback will be as follows: 50 dollars from each entry fee will go to the places, 6 dollars to big bass and 4 dollars will be put back

for the Fish Off. Big bass will pay one place.

12. Tournament blast off will be declared the morning of the tournament, either by one of the tournament committee waving

a hat or in flights if the number of boats entered exceeds a safe number. Any tournament with fewer than 30 boats will be

considered a safe number, 30 or more will constitute the use of flights to take off. In the event that flights are used it is

the responsibility of each team to find out what flight they take off in. Tournament committee may chose to use flights

regardless of the number of boats. In the event that the blast off is done by the waving of a hat, the tournament committee

team that is responsible for taking up chips at the end of the tourney, will be allowed to blast off first with the rest of the club

remaining until the signal is given to take off. That team will be required to return 15 minutes early before the end of the

tournament, in order to set up and take the chips from teams as they arrive to the weigh in.

Tournament start and stop times may be amended only by the tournament committee the day of the tournament due to

emergency conditions that are generated from outside of their control, example would be severe weather.

13. Sportsmanship and courtesy should be displayed by all members.

14. All Game and Fish regulations as well as individual lake regulations will be observed by the bass club and it's members.

15. All protest must be presented before the tournament committee the day of the tournament and before the weigh in is over.

16. Tournament Committee for 2008 - Eddie Hicks & Steve Reagan - membership vote day of tourney deciding factor on any issue.

* A member may fish with a guest and the tournament count for his regular partners elgibility.

The Grant County Bass Club is not responsible or liable for accidents or damage incurred during a tournament.

Individuals are responsible and accountable for their own actions and fish at their own risk.

The Grant County Bass Club tournament committee reserves the right to refuse entry into any of it's tournaments, to any

team or individual for whatever reason.
